The ISOVER company, in collaboration with ENDESA, has announced a new edition of the ISOVER INDUSTRIAL EFFICIENCY AWARDS 2021.
The initiative aims to increase the participation, collaboration and commitment of both students, university managers, and private companies such as ISOVER and ENDESA in relation to energy efficiency in Industry, in order to raise even more awareness of basic principles that allow compliance of the Horizon 2030 objectives towards a low carbon Industry, and that serve as a platform for disseminating actions against climate change.
On this occasion, it is a question of studying a Liquid Air Energy Storage Plant (LAES) with the aim of storing the discharges of renewable energy in the hours of excess production and its subsequent use in the periods in which this energy is required .
The challenge of this year 2021 is to propose and evaluate different methods or systems, to improve the efficiency of the LAES plant, by improving the performance of the thermal cycle, introducing additional sources of heat or thermal cold and also other approaches to enhance the production of the unit, as well as the subsequent energy use of said storage.
To publicize the event, next Tuesday March 2 at 6:00 p.m., an informative virtual meeting will take place through the following Google Meet link:
