The Degree in Business Statistics, together with the CIO, Research Institute of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, have organized a very unique event to commemorate the Pi Day, which will be attended by the mathematician and statistician Carlos Gil Bellosta, who will teach the seminar “Statistical modeling: if you do not take advantage of the underlying structure, you leave money on the table”. In addition, a world record will be broken by collecting the first 314 digits of the Pi number in the form of cookies. It is the longest cookie-made Pi number in the world, since no one has ever tried anything similar. The event will take place next Thursday, March 14 at 10:00 in classrooms 0.1 and 0.2 of the Torretamarit Building of the UMH. This event is aimed at researchers and students interested in the subject.
